Christmas is almost upon us, and so it’s time for us to look back over the last 12 weeks, and our fantastic end of term winter showcase.

All of our students took part in our end of term winter showcase, which took place on Saturday the 7th of December. They performance pieces from poetry to singing acting and mime in front of the toughest critic’s, their family and friends. The results were truly amazing about Kevin and myself are extremely proud of each and every one. It really is amazing what imagination and teamwork can achieve in a short few weeks.

Here’s what our students got up to over the last 12 weeks:

Our Infants worked hard all term learning poems and rhymes, creating stories, improving confidence/ communication and working through the media of puppetry. We also, read lots of books and stories, focusing on characterisation.

Our Juniors, focused particularly on storytelling and acting in pairs and groups. While, our Intermediates focused on poetry and improving improvisation skills. Our Seniors worked on our communication and fluency, paying attention to common mistakes such as ‘th’ sounds.

We enjoyed every minute of this term working with all our returning pupils and so many new pupils too. It is as always a joy to work with our wonderful students each Saturday morning.

All that’s left for me to say now if from everyone at Spotlight Speech and Drama School we would like to wished all our pupils and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.
