As the Annual Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland Féis draws to a close I wanted to take a minute to express my appreciation to the Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland board for another successful year. Also, I want to thank all our wonderful parents. Who put in so much time at home practicing our pieces and bring their children to and from classes and events.
Next I want to express my overwhelming pride from this weekend. I want to thank each student who entered the Féis this year you were all incredible. You never cease to amaze me with your passion and love for drama, your dedication to our weekly classes and your professionalism over this weekend. Having the courage to perform in front of an audience is not easy. I challenge their parents to try it! Sometimes we overlook just how courageous these young people are. Winning is wonderful but not the reason we enter our students. We hope we are instilling confidence & life skills that will help them as they develop into adults & in their future careers.
Thank you for allowing me to be your teacher and pass on my love of drama, my heart is so full ❤️
